Oklahoma out stay on top of Western Conference in NBA

The Chicago Bulls have seemingly already wrapped up the top seeding in the Eastern Conference of the NBA, but there is still plenty to play for in the Western Conference.

Only three teams in the Western Conference have currently guaranteed themselves a playoff berth and with the top seeds getting home advantage throughout the playoffs, there is every incentive to retain form through the latter games of the regular season.

It is the Oklahoma City Thunder that lead the Western Conference at present and are 4/5 favourites to finish there, but they face stiff competition to retain this position from the San Antonio Spurs, who have lost the same number of games and won just two less making them a 7/2 shot to finish top of the pile.

The Thunder face the LA Clippers next in what looks an especially pivotal games as the Clippers currently sit in one of the playoff places.

The Clippers will be looking for their second victory in a week against Oklahoma and scored their third straight win against Golden State on Saturday and are 6/5 to overcome the Thunder here.

The Thunder themselves are favourites to triumph, at 5/7 to take the victory that will keep them at the top of the conference.

Elsewhere, San Antonio travel to the Golden State Warriors in the hope of capitalising on any Thunder slip-up.

The Spurs are at 1/8 to overcome a Warriors team that have struggled all season, and find themselves languishing third from bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Golden State are 4-16 since losing top points scorer Monta Ellis to Milwaukee in the middle of March and succumbed to a fourth straight loss against the Clippers on Saturday.

San Antonio will be going for their 14th consecutive win against the Warriors and unsurprisingly, Golden State are at long odds of 5/1 to cause an upset.
