Tennis accumulator: Murray to keep it simple to breeze past Simon

Published:

Roger Federer may have been eliminated from the Sony Ericsson Open by Andy Roddick, but we are not expecting Andy Murray to follow suit against Gilles Simon in the fourth round in Miami.

Murray leads a 21/1 accumulator across the men’s and women’s action and he should be able to breeze past Simon in straight sets.

The Brit has won his last eight meetings with Simon and six of these triumphs have come without dropping a set.

Murray will also be well rested having played only one game to reach the fourth round, receiving a bye in the opening round and then gaining a walkover against Milos Raonic.

Elsewhere in the men’s draw, Jo Wilfried Tsonga can retain his unbeaten career record against Florian Mayer, while Janko Tipsarevic can see off Gregor Dimitrov, despite the young Bulgarian beating Tomas Berdych in the third round.

The shock in the men’s draw can be provided by Nicolas Almagro, who has made a scintillating start to 2012.

He has lost all three of his career meetings with Mardy Fish, but these have all gone to a deciding set and Almagro can profit from the American being below his best so far this season.

In the women’s draw, Serena Williams looked to have regained some of her excitement and love of the game when beating Sam Stosur and can use her dominance on serve to beat Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets.

Meanwhile, Na Li has won her last four games against Maria Sharapova and her superior strength in rallies can see her edge a long, tight quarter final.
