Kauto Star to follow Big Buck’s in giving punters reasons to celebrate

Kauto Star could make it a day to remember for punters to remember for more than one reason if managing to land the Cheltenham Gold Cup odds at 7/2.

Punters head into the final day of the Festival in pretty good spirits despite defeats for odds-on duo Hurricane Fly and Sizing Europe earlier in the week.

Day three of Cheltenham went particularly well with the favourites securing victory in all of the final four main races on the card.

Most notable was the success of Big Buck’s in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle, which equalled the National Hunt record of 16 straight victories.

Kauto Star is sure to generate an even bigger cheer if winning the Gold Cup and this moment would certainly be the biggest Festival moment in recent memory, if not ever.

However, he will not have it easy with defending champion Long Run, while the likes of Burton Port, Weird Al and Synchronised will feel they can get involved.

Elsewhere, the Triumph Hurdle looks a tough betting heat with Grumeti, Pearl Swan, Balder Succes and Baby Mix looking closely matched.

Meanwhile, the amateurs get their time in the limelight in the Foxhunters Chase, with Sam Waley-Cohen hoping for a double on Roulez Cool after his ride on Long Run.
