Juventus v Inter Milan: expect a tight game between Italian giants

Published:

Juventus are in the somewhat strange position of having not lost a single Serie A game this season and still being off the title pace.

They are currently four points behind leaders AC Milan but are fancied to keep their title chances alive with a victory over a struggling Inter Milan team this Sunday.

However, Inter have picked up some valuable wins in recent weeks and getting three points will be easier said than done for the Old Lady in the Derby d’Italia…

Match odds

Second place Juventus are unsurprisingly the big 7/10 favourites to win this clash but Antonio Conte’s men have found victories rather hard to come by in recent weeks.

Juve have won just one of their previous six games in all competitions, with the other five ending in draws.

That will give Inter cause for optimism and they have now picked up victories in two of their previous three matches after previously going nine without a win – although one of those was a 2-1 win over Marseille in the Champions League that saw them crash out on away goals.

Inter can be backed at 4/1 to get the win, although a far more tempting punt may be to back the game to finish level at a very decent 5/2.

Goal markets

Juventus won the last encounter between these sides 2-1 and the same score can be backed at 7/1.

However, with Inter scoring just two goals in their four away games against teams currently above them in the Italian top tier, and Juve shipping just four in their previous eight home games, backing under 2.5 goals looks worth a punt at 4/6.

Finally, veteran forward Alessandro Del Piero opened the scoring for Juventus in their last game and he is currently 7/1 to do the same in this clash.
