Chemmy Alcott a brilliant bet to leave Dancing on Ice next

Chemmy Alcott is favourite to be eliminated from Dancing on Ice this weekend at 8/11 – and with good reason.

The skier has, according to Ladbrokes, received around 95 per cent of the bets ahead of this week’s show.

She has been in the bottom two on three previous occasions but has been spared elimination by the judges.

The reason she has been spared so far though is that the people she was up against in the skate-off were far inferior skaters – and that won’t be the case this week.

Matthew Wolfenden, Jorgie Porter, Jennifer Ellison and even Chico are all much better skaters than the 29-year-old and her time looks to be up, making the 8/11 offered for her to be eliminated look like a fantastic bet.

If you like your odds slightly longer though, then Chico is next in the elimination betting at 13/8 and was in the bottom two a fortnight ago.

It really is hard to see beyond Chemmy though.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the leaderboard Matthew Wolfenden is back as favourite following his brilliant performance in last week’s show that saw him bag a series-high score of 28.5 out of 30.

Judge Robin Cousins was incredibly complimentary about Jorgie Porter though and told her: “You have this infectious personality that just draws everybody in.

“It’s wonderful to watch the way you tackle it with some abandon and the way you do all the steps.”

While it is a skating contest, personality does count for a lot and even though she is on the drift, backing her to win at 1/1 could be worth consideration if she puts in a good performance on the weekend.
