Championship accumulator: West Ham to lead 30/1 fourfold

Published:

West Ham have drawn their last four games to slip out of the automatic promotion places in the Championship, but we are tipping them to return to winning ways at Burnley to lead a 30/1 accumulator.

The Hammers are now third in the table after being overhauled by Reading, but because of a game in hand, their promotion back to the Premier League is still in their own hands.

Yet they must rediscover the winning formula soon and the omens are good as they travel to a Burnley side that have lost four of their last six games.

Furthermore, West Ham retain the best away points return in the whole Championship this season and Burnley find themselves in a position with little to play for.

This is not something that can be said of either Coventry or Portsmouth, who are both in the relegation places at present.

The good news for Coventry is that they are 100 per cent at home this campaign against the other clubs in the bottom eight and are unbeaten in four at the Ricoh Arena.

Leicester can still make a late surge towards the play-offs and will move to within three points of Hull if beating them at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes have won their last three at home and face a Hull team that have triumphed in just one of their last eight league outings.

Peterborough may not have won a Championship away game in 2012, but they are unbeaten on their travels this season against the seven clubs currently below them in the league standings.

Meanwhile, Barnsley are the most out of form team in the Championship at present, taking one point from a possible 18 and losing eight of their last ten league fixtures.

Championship selections

Leicester to beat Hull @ 11/10
West Ham to beat Burnley @ 5/4
Coventry to beat Portsmouth @ 5/4
Peterborough to beat Barnsley @ 9/5
