Championship accumulator: West Ham ready to end run of draws
West Ham’s 2-2 draw with Burnley on Saturday was a club record fifth in a row, but they can extend a ten match unbeaten run by beating Peterborough to kick off our 21/1 accumulator.
The Hammers have been overtaken by Reading in their bid for automatic promotion, as the Royals recorded nine wins from ten whilst too many stalemates condemned the Upton Park outfit to the playoff positions.
However, they have a 100% record over Peterborough and will be confident of adding to this with all three points at London Road at 11/10.
Only two sides have conceded more than Posh this season, and an away side featuring the likes of Nicky Maynard, Carlton Cole and John Carew will exploit this.
Ipswich are our next selections, hoping to build on five successive home victories in the Championship.
They are 11/8 to beat a Middlesbrough side without a win in four, and bearing in mind that Tony Mowbray has never conquered Ipswich as a manager, the Tractor Boys look good value to keep that run going at Portman Road.
Our next picks are Hull, who travel to Fratton Park to meet a disjointed Portsmouth side that largely consists of loan signings, hoping to complete a double over the South Coast club at 6/4.
The travelling Tigers boast the Championship’s stingiest defence, conceding 32 all season, and with Portsmouth finding the net just 38 times, Nick Barmby’s men should sew up an eighth away win of the campaign.
We look to Leicester to round off the accumulator, 5/6 chances to see off Nottingham Forest to complete a fifth consecutive King Power Stadium victory.
Nigel Pearson’s men thrashed Forest 4-0 in their last meeting here in the FA Cup, and the Foxes can keep playoff hopes alive by triumphing tonight too.
West Ham to beat Peterborough @ 11/10
Ipswich to beat Middlesbrough @ 11/8
Hull to beat Portsmouth @ 6/4
Leicester to beat Nottingham Forest @ 5/6
