Big Buck’s result to have major impact on day three of Festival

Published:

Big Buck’s has the capability of almost single-handedly giving punters the advantage on day three of the Cheltenham Festival if he can win the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at 8/15.

Of the four odds-on favourites at the Festival, it is 2-2 in the punters v bookmakers challenge.

However, it was definitely the bookmakers on top after the second day’s racing, despite a nervy start.

Favourites Teaforthree and Simonsig landed the opening two races, but then Grands Crus and the odds-on Sizing Europe were beaten.

With Hurricane Fly defeated on the opening day, it will be hoped that Big Buck’s will also get turned over to complete a disastrous treble for punters.

However, a victory could inspire confidence ahead of an expected gamble on Kauto Star in tomorrow’s Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Oscar Whisky and Thousand Stars look the big dangers to Big Buck’s, while elsewhere on today’s card, the Ryanair Chase is the other big race on the card.
