Expect Graeme Swann on song as England secure series success

England are 8/11 favourites to win the series-deciding third Twenty20 match with Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Monday after pulling level in impressive fashion on Saturday.

Stuart Broad and co have far happier memories of the Sheikh Zayed Stadium than they do their time in Dubai, given that it was the venue in which they claimed victory in the first two ODIs to begin their recovery from Test series humiliation.

England will also gain confidence from the fact that their triumph was more convincing than the defeat that Pakistan inflicted to take the lead in the best-of-three affair, as they bowled them all out for 112 with almost two overs to spare.

Having won five of their last six meetings with Pakistan across all forms, following losses in their first three clashes this year, 8/11 is an attractive price on England finishing on a high. They have prevailed in 12 of their last 15 Twenty20 fixtures.

Jonny Bairstow has been an unlikely hero for England so far in this Twenty20 series despite being fifth in the batting order, hitting 22 without removal in the first encounter then top-scoring with 60 in the second.

That showing earned him man of the match recognition and the emerging Yorkshire star, who hasn’t been dismissed in any of his last three international Twenty20 appearances, is 16/1 to receive the award once again.

The favourite however is the improving Kevin Pietersen at 8/1, who can also be backed at 5/2 to achieve what would be only his second Twenty20 half century in his last ten attempts.

It was England’s bowling performance that caught the eye last time out though, and with Graeme Swann taking five wickets across the first two matches, odds of 12/1 on him being named man of the match and 6/5 on over 1.5 wickets appeal.
