The Weekly Accumulator: West Ham must beat Coventry

Published:

Starting the new year with a big payday will be the resolution of many punters and one way of securing a good win is through a successful accumulator.

There are 11 fixtures taking place in the Championship on January 2nd and we believe we have found five winners that pay a combined 25/1.

Title-pushing West Ham are the big bankers of our accumulator in their home clash with relegation-threatened Coventry.

Coventry are still to win on the road this season and although West Ham’s form at Upton Park has been weaker than in their away games, they should have little trouble taking the three points.

Like Coventry, Birmingham’s recent form has not been particularly great, especially on their travels.

Peterborough have been pretty solid at home and look overpriced to collect victory to remain on the periphery of the play-off places.

Hull have been one of the form teams since the appointment of Nick Barmby as manager and can triumph again against a Derby side that they have beaten three times in the Championship in the past two seasons.

Not only have Hull won these three games in the last 15 months, but have also not conceded in the process.

Portsmouth have won their last three home games with Watford and can extend this record, while Leicester are the biggest price of our five selections and the only pick that are playing away from home.

They must improve soon given the strength of their squad and if having a good day at Selhurst Park, they can collect a needed success at Crystal Palace.
