Swansea vs Arsenal: Henry to be kept quiet as hosts will avoid defeat

Thierry Henry may be back, but this does not guarantee success for Arsenal and they may struggle to secure victory against Swansea.

Arsenal supporters may be expecting a productive few weeks from their hero before he heads back to New York, particularly after his immediate impact at Leeds when introduced from the substitute’s bench.

Henry is likely to start on the bench again against Swansea and to date he has netted against all of the 34 different teams he has played against in the Premier League.

This puts some pressure on the trip to the Liberty Stadium for his first clash with the Swans and he is 1/1 to strike at any time in the 90 minutes.

If Henry does score there is a strong chance of an Arsenal victory and this can be backed at 17/20.

However, Manchester United are the only Premier League team to win an away game with Swansea this season and Arsenal may prove the latest to fail to leave with three points.

It is 10/11 in the double chance market that Swansea avoid defeat and they have already given a good account of themselves once against Arsenal in the top-flight this season.

They were arguably unlucky to lose 1-0 at the Emirates when Michel Vorm gifted Andrei Arshavin the only goal by accidently throwing the ball against the back of defender Angel Rangel.

Arsenal also had trouble breaking down Championship club Leeds and Swansea have become known for their stinginess, keeping six clean sheets already at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea are 7/2 to beat Arsenal in the Premier League odds and 23/10 to collect another point towards securing their safety for another season.

Meanwhile, their chances of avoiding defeat are additionally boosted by Arsenal failing to win two of their last three fixtures on their travels.
