Everton vs Bolton: Toffees can leave Trotters trailing in league

Published:

Things are starting to look increasingly desperate for Bolton Wanderers who sit rock bottom of the Premier League and are four points from safety.

They travel to Everton this Wednesday and face a side who have started to steadily climb the table and get the results manager David Moyes always felt their performances deserved.

It looks set to be another difficult evening for Owen Coyle and his beleaguered side…

Match odds

Everton are the 8/15 favourites and it’s hard to look too far beyond a victory for the Toffees.

They have not lost in their previous four league games, winning two of them and gaining a hard-fought victory at West Bromwich Albion in their last match.

The Toffees have lost just one of their ten games against sides currently below them in the league this season and have not been defeated by Bolton at home since 2005.

If you can see a shock though, then Bolton are 11/2 to get all three points and 3/1 to get another draw following their 1-1 game with Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Year’s Day.

Goal markets

Bolton have the worst defence in the Premier League and, with Gary Cahill in the midst of talks with Chelsea, they will have their work cut out to keep Everton at bay.

However, they will be helped by the fact Everton have the fourth worst home attack in the league.

With none of Everton’s previous seven games yielding more than two goals, backing under 2.5 goals to be scored at 4/5 looks like a brilliant bet.

Finally, the previous game between these sides this season ended with a 2-0 win to Everton and the same score can be backed here at 6/1.
