Bob’s Worth can add to Henderson’s Cheltenham victors

With the likes of Long Run and Sprinter Sacre in his yard, there is certainly a strong possibility that Nicky Henderson will end the Cheltenham Festival as top trainer.

However, Henderson has lots of others also with big chances of success and punters would be foolish excluding them from their Cheltenham thinking.

Grandouet is one such example in the Champion Hurdle, while Bobs Worth remains a leading contender to win the RSA Chase.

Some faith may have disappeared from Bobs Worth as he could only finish third behind fellow talented novice Grands Crus in the Feltham Chase on Boxing Day.

This resulted in Grands Crus becoming the comfortable market leader in the Cheltenham odds to win the RSA Chase at 6/4, with Bobs Worth next best at 5/1.

However, with the grey also being targetted at a possible appearance in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, this would be a substantial boost to Bobs Worth’s chances.

Meanwhile, jockey Barry Geraghty does not feel his mount is without a chance even he does have to re-oppose Grands Crus again.

Geraghty believes that Bobs Worth was below 100 per cent at Kempton and a small wind operation since should have been highly beneficial.

Giving Bobs Worth another chance may certainly prove profitable, while he represents each-way value at worst at his current price.
