African Nations Cup: Zambia can claim top spot with Guinea win
Published:The final games of Group A take place this evening and things haven’t exactly gone to plan so far.
Equatorial Guinea currently lead the way from Zambia following their opening two wins against Libya and Senegal.
However, only two points separate the leaders from Zambia and the southern Africa side have more than enough to overtake Equatorial Guinea.
Equatorial Guinea v Zambia
Zambia are the 7/5 favourites to win this clash and they should have enough to come through and claim top spot.
Zambia have lost just two of their previous 12 games and have found the net four times in their opening two African Nations Cup games.
Equatorial Guinea will be no pushovers though and they have been incredibly impressive in their two wins so far.
They are 11/5 to get the win but, with Zambia losing just two of their previous ten African Nations Cup games, they look good to bag the victory.
Libya v Senegal
Libya can still qualify for the knockout stages if they win and Zambia lose and they are currently 5/2 to get the win they need against a Senegal side who are already out of the competition.
Senegal lost their opening two games and are 11/10 grab a consolation victory.
However, with Libya now eight games without a win and Senegal in such poor form, backing this to finish in a draw looks well worth a punt at a very decent 21/10.
