Time for Misha B to sing Jennifer Hudson classic on X Factor

Marcus Collins and Craig Colton previously indicated that they waited for a particular week to sing a specific song on the X Factor and the time must be now for Misha B to perform a moving rendition of ‘And I’m Telling You’ by Jennifer Hudson.

It was in the quarter finals and Movie week that Marcus finally sang Stevie Wonder’s ‘Lately’, while Craig was alleged to have previously stated that he had always intended to perform the Lady Gaga track ‘Paparazzi’.

Misha B is considered the heavy favourite in the X Factor odds at 8/11 to fail to reach the final, but the themes announced for the semi final are arguably in her favour.

With each of the remaining four acts performing two songs, they will first sing a Motown classic and then any hit that they feel will get them enough votes to see them into the final.

It is the second of these songs that is likely to have the biggest impact on the public vote and it would be no surprise if the foursome all choose ballads in an effort to impress viewers.

Ballads not only allow an act to turn up the emotion in their performance, but also truly sing their hearts out.

And I’m Telling You clearly ticks all of these boxes and Hudson would have already built up some relationship with Misha as the pair previously spent time together at the judges’ house stage of the competition.

This track could prove a show stealer and because of this Misha may also benefit from the perfect slot of performing last, which would boost her chances of survival.

It is 2/1 in the X Factor odds that Misha performs last in the semi finals.

Elsewhere, Little Mix must be slightly kicking themselves as ‘Beautiful’ by Christina Aguilera would have been the perfect choice for a song to help them reach the final, but they performed this last week.
