Green Bay Packers a good Super Bowl bet after blistering start

It is almost a year to the day since the Packers last lost a match, making it a very believable possibility that they will complete a perfect 16-0 regular season this time round.
With this in mind, the odds of 11/8 for the Green Bay Packers to win their second consecutive Super Bowl title look very generous.
Their last defeat, back in December 2011, came in the absence of star player Aaron Rodgers, who looks by far the most accomplished quarter back in the NFL today, and is set to become a legend at Lambeau Field with a string of superlative performances that have coincided with the Packers’ best run in years.
Rodgers will feature in the weekend trip to the Kansas City Chiefs, for which the Packers are priced at 10/11 to win giving up a 14 point handicap.
The home side are the same price with a 14 point head start.
Meanwhile, of the other main contenders for the Vince Lombardi trophy, New England Patriots are 9/2, and will need QB Tom Brady to rediscover his majestic form of the early decade, where his side claimed five Super Bowl championships.
The Patriots are on a five game winning streak and should overcome a 6 point handicap to beat the Denver Broncos over the weekend at 10/11.
New Orleans Saints are 6/1 shots for the 2012 Super Bowl and have been impressive in the main part this season.
They can continue to build momentum by beating Minnesota Vikings at 10/11, giving up a seven point start.
Even with sides such as the Patriots and Saints looking dangerous, the size of the handicap attributed to Green Bay Packers, even away from home, tells its own story, and they look the best bet to clinch a record 14th Super Bowl championship.
