AC Milan offer Pato to Man City in exchange for troublesome Tevez

Sitting five points clear at the top of the Premier League, and having scored 48 goals in just 14 matches, Manchester City are hardly missing Carlos Tevez.

The Argentinian striker has not featured in the squad since allegedly refusing to play away to Bayern Munich over two months ago, and he has been linked with almost every imaginable club since then.

Corinthians declared a strong interest in the player, but were unwilling to back up their enquiries with a firm cash offer.

Similarly, San Siro outfit Inter Milan talked a good game regarding the forward, but their pursuit was cut short when Man City’s financial demands for the player were made apparent.

Their great rivals AC Milan now appear to be the front-runners to obtain the player’s signature though, as boss Leonardo looks set to offer Tevez the chance to end his City ‘hell.’

According to the Daily Mail, the Italian giants are reportedly willing to move Alexandre Pato in the other direction to obtain Tevez’s services in a loan arrangement that would seemingly suit both parties.

Whilst money is no obstacle to Sheikh Mansour-funded City, the purported £88million that Porto would demand for their forward Hulk would seem to indicate that a deal involving a ready-made replacement would be preferable to Roberto Mancini.

Should they fail to land a replacement however, punters backing Man City to claim a first Premier League title should not be too worried.

Edin Dzeko, Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero is as formidable a forward line as you are likely to find in world football, with 28 league goals between them so far, and free-scoring City look ever the more irresistible with each passing game.

They look a brilliant bet at 4/7 to win the Premier League, with or without Carlos Tevez.
