Norwich vs Arsenal: Arsenal to triumph, but both teams will score
Published:Arsenal look set to continue their current run of Premier League victories. Having won their last five games they are clear favourites at 4/6 – although both teams look likely to score.
Only Manchester City have scored more away goals than Arsenal in the Premier League, but the Gunners have also shipped the most on their travels.
Arsenal have turned their season around, however, and will have too much for Norwich, with the home side an outside 9/2 to triumph.
The Gunners’ previous league triumph against West Brom showed an assuredness unseen this season and they should definitely score at Carrow Road.
Arsenal have netted eight in their last two games and are 9/2 to score four or more at Carrow Road.
Meanwhile, close to half of Norwich’s goals have come from headers, an area where Arsenal are notoriously vulnerable.
Although Arsenal can now call upon Thomas Vermaelen, they still may struggle against the likes of Steve Morison, who headed home in The Canaries’ previous game against Aston Villa and is 3/1 to score at any time in the 90 minutes.
With Grant Holt, a great option from the bench at 3/1, scoring two in his previous two substitute appearances, Norwich look likely to grab a goal at Carrow Road.
Robin Van Persie was rested for the Netherlands’ latest friendly against Germany in midweek, meaning he should be on top form against Norwich.
The Flying Dutchman has scored 29 goals in 28 games in the league in 2011, and netted a hat-trick in Arsenal’s last game against Chelsea. He looks worth a punt at 7/2 to score first.
Meanwhile Gervinho is finding his feet in the Arsenal team, and although squandering opportunities against Chelsea, is 7/4 to score in the 90 minutes.
