How Suarez and Torres handle the pressure will be a key factor

Liverpool against Chelsea has become one of the most eagerly anticipated games in the Premier League over recent years – and this Sunday’s clash is no different.

There is plenty to fire the imagination heading into this game with both Luis Suarez and John Terry feeling the pressure following alleged racist comments and Chelsea’s Fernando Torres lining-up against the club he left in January for £50million.

We told you yesterday how Alex playing for the Blues is an important factor, but how Suarez and Torres perform under the spotlight will also be key to their respective teams chances.

Kenny Dalglish’s men have become rather reliant on Suarez for goals and inspiration this term, with the Uruguayan hitting seven goals in all competitions.

With the Reds next highest scorer, Andy Carroll, hitting just three goals, the under-fire Suarez is the big Liverpool favourite to find the net first at 8/1 – and he will need to capitalize on facing a defence who conceded five in their previous Premier League home game against Arsenal.

Chelsea don’t have the same reliance on a single player to get them the goals, but an in-form Torres will be vitally important for Andre Villas-Boas’ side against Liverpool and for the remainder of the season.

Torres – who is 5/1 to find the net at any time – has shown glimpses of his best form for the Blues and there have been signs of an exciting understanding developing between him and compatriot Juan Mata.

Liverpool haven’t conceded a goal in their last two games and boast the fifth best away defence in the league though and will fancy their chances of stopping Torres.

However, with none of the previous ten games between these sides finishing goalless this looks set to be another brilliant encounter – regardless of who is scoring the goals.
