Fulham vs Tottenham: Van der Vaart can fire Spurs to another win

Martin Jol will face his old side at Craven Cottage but is unlikely to enjoy the experience.

The Cottagers have won just two of their previous 22 London derbies and face a Spurs side who have not lost in seven league games.

With Fulham playing a full-strength team in the Europa League on Thursday, the west London side could be in for a tough evening.

Sunday’s final fixture sees Spurs installed as favourites at 6/5 after their superb performance against QPR last weekend.

They may have lost in their midweek Europa League game away to Rubin Kazan, but with the likes of Luka Modric, Rafael Van der Vaart, Gareth Bale and Emmanuel Adebayor all rested, they should be back to their best against Fulham.

Spurs have managed six wins and a draw in their last seven games – a run that coincided with the arrival of Scott Parker at White Hart Lane and he should be fit to face the Cottagers.

Fulham did win their last game away to Wigan though, and their last encounter with Spurs at Craven Cottage saw them run out 4-0 winners in FA Cup.

Fulham may be outsiders, but they shouldn’t be discounted at 9/4.

Tottenham have scored at least twice in each of their last seven league matches, making 11/4 great odds for Spurs to win with three or more goals scored in the match.

Van der Vaart has netted six times in his last five league games and is a generous 6/4 to score in the 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, Fulham’s Wisla Krakow trip further demonstrated Andy Johnson’s ability with two excellent goals for the striker – Johnson is 5/2 to find the net.
