Europa League accumulator: last year’s finalists Braga lead our tips

Published:

The business end of the Europa League group stages are now upon us and with numerous clubs on the cusp of qualification to the knockout rounds, we believe we have found six winners at a combined priced of 25/1.

With no Champions League this week, the Europa League fixtures have been spread across two days and it is Rubin Kazan who are easily the biggest bankers of our six selections from day one.

Rubin are 1/8 in the Europa League odds to win at home to Shamrock Rovers and a victory would mean they would only need a point to qualify in their final game in Greece against PAOK.

The Russians have lost just one of their last 15 home European games, while Shamrock are still waiting for their first point in Group A.

The long trip from Ireland to Russia will also be something new to the majority of their players, alongside the freezing cold playing conditions in Kazan.

Group H is one of the tightest in the Europa League, but Braga will move one step closer to emulating their final appearance in the competition last season with a home victory over Birmingham.

Braga have already won the away encounter between the pair and should find life easier on their own patch.

This is something also true of Metalist Kharkiv as they host Austria Vienna.

Elsewhere, in the already sorted Group C, we are backing the home double of Legia Warsaw and Rapid Bucharest, while AZ Alkmaar can end a run of 14 European games without an away win with a triumph at point-less Malmo.
