Double elimination to bring Kitty’s X Factor time to an end

Kitty Brucknell has not been one of the firm favourites among X Factor viewers since the start of the live shows and it would be a major surprise if she survived the double elimination planned for the fourth week of the show.

In an effort to encourage the acts to work harder and also hopefully enhance dwindling ratings, the decision has been taken to spice up the upcoming show by sending two acts home, cutting the remaining nine contestants to seven.

Kitty is currently 5/2 in the X Factor betting to be the eighth act eliminated and a controversial week is unlikely to have been resolved in her favour.

She hit the headlines after being accused of making racist comments towards The Risk band member Derry Mensah after a row during rehearsals.

Since the incident Kitty has apologised for the fallout, but stands by the fact she was not racist, and this situation could cause her to lose some of the remaining fans she does have.

Kitty has already been in the bottom two once in the third week of the X Factor, but survived a sing off with fellow over-25 contestant Sami Brookes.

Frankie Cocozza remains the 11/10 favourite to be the next act voted out and the pair now face an even bigger challenge to survive another week.

The theme for the next X Factor show is ‘club classics’ and Kitty will be hoping that her rendition of the Madonna hit ‘Like A Prayer’ impresses enough viewers to keep her out of the bottom two.

Meanwhile, club classics is not a theme destined to suit Frankie, although there is the option that he could make a song his own by doing it in a style closer to rock.
