Champions League: Joe Cole set for loss while Real Madrid set to win

Published:

Joe Cole has enjoyed a successful spell out in France with his Lille side pushing hard at the top of the French first tier.

However, things haven’t been quite as good in the Champions League, with Lille rooted to the bottom of Group B with just two points from their opening four games.

Things don’t look like getting any better this Tuesday with a tough trip to CSKA Moscow awaiting the French side.

They are out at 11/5 to win the game after going six Champions League games without a victory, while the Moscow side are rightly the big favourites at 5/4.

The other game in Group B sees Inter Milan face Trabzonspor knowing a win would be enough to see them qualify for the knockout stages.

The Italians have already lost once to Trabzonspor this season but, following three consecutive wins in the competition, Inter look well worth backing at 5/4 – even with Wesley Sneijder ruled out with injury.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid – who have already qualified for the knockout stages thanks to four straight victories in which they haven’t even conceded a goal – welcome Dinamo Zagreb to the Bernabeu.

Backing Real to win to nil at 8/15 looks like the bet to take on in this game – especially following their 1-0 win in Zagreb back in September.

Finally, Ajax – who are second in Group D behind Real – are 7/2 outsiders to triumph in their away game against Lyon.

The French side have lost their previous three games in all competitions though and the Dutchmen shouldn’t be completely ignored at that price.
