Amelia already favourite to win X Factor after one show back

Amelia Lily has wasted little time in settling back into the X Factor and it has only taken one performance to make her favourite to win the show.

Her rendition of Queen’s ‘The Show Must Go On’ went down a storm after she was named as Frankie’s replacement to compete in the show and she is now the 11/4 favourite in the X Factor betting to triumph.

Comments from judge Tulisa may have helped her cause as the mentor of the groups stated: “All the other acts have had weeks to progress, and you’ve come in now at the same level as them.”

Luckily for Amelia, she seems to have retained a large amount of her fanbase following her earlier performances and with the British public sure to like an underdog, she must have a good chance of success.

Amelia was perhaps wrongly sent home by Kelly Rowland after the first live show, as she failed to really nail a more rocky rendition of the Michael Jackson classic ‘Billie Jean’.

However, she had a lot going against her in this show, being the first of the 16 acts to perform which has to be classed as a disadvantage, while the song given to her was of such a size that it was almost guaranteed to end in failure.

She is at an obvious disadvantage as she has not had the chance to show versatility on the live shows, to benefit from all of the hints picked up by other contestants along the way and to truly build a complete fanbase, but she does still have four live shows to improve.

It is almost a given that she cannot afford a single bad week until the final, which is a privelege that some of the other X Factor betting favourites have already enjoyed.

Usually by now there is a clear favourite to win the X Factor, but given the unpredictability of the current series, this is not the case this year.

The tightness of the winners’ market is shown as Marcus Collins is 7/2, with Craig Colton and Janet Devlin both 4/1.
