X Factor judges sure to roll out favourite catchphrases again

Catchphrases from the judges have become almost second nature on the X Factor, with Louis Walsh especially likely to repeat his favourites on a weekly basis.

One of his particular favourites is ‘you were born to be on that stage’ and therefore it is a surprise that it is 6/4 in the X Factor odds that this line is delivered again on the second live show.

Betting markets have been created for each judge in relation to which of their favourite phrases will be said on the next show.

Others with decent odds for Louis are the 1/6 that one of the acts are called a ‘natural performer’, 1/10 that an act has a special ‘recording voice’ and 1/1 that an individual or group is said to have ‘raw talent’.

‘Congratulations’ was one of the most used words of Gary Barlow in the first live show and it is 1/100 that he repeats this at least once this week.

However, this is not much of a betting proposition at those odds, which means that punters will have to look elsewhere for better value.

The best may lie in the 2/1 on offer that he tells an act I ‘just didn’t like it at all’, while ‘what a performance tonight’ at 1/2 could be worth considering.

Kelly Rowland is keen to criticise the groups more than the other acts because of her allegiance with Destiny’s Child and 4/9 looks a great bet that she speaks to Rhythmix, Nu-Vibe or The Risk about their ‘harmonies’.

Meanwhile, for Tulisa, someone is bound to be called an ‘amazing vocalist’ and this can be backed at 8/11.

With Nu-Vibe looking likely contenders to be the fifth act eliminated she may attempt to call them a ‘credible boyband’ in order to boost their chances of survival and it is 2/1 that she uses this phrase on the second live show.
