West Brom vs Wolves: Derby delight expected for visitors

Kevin Doyle can prosper in the clash of the former Reading strikers as Wolves may finally get some good fortune and a much-needed victory at rivals West Brom.

With Steven Fletcher out because of a calf injury picked up in training, the responsibility will fall on the shoulder of Doyle to stop Wolves’ recent disappointing run.

Wolves have managed just one point from their last five games and have lost their last four in succession.

It is 13/5 that Wolves beat West Brom and they will take confidence from the fact that they remained unbeaten in their away derby games last season.

This fact may also give some appeal to the draw being the correct result at 23/10 and this is a result that may satisfy both managers given the state of their current form.

West Brom are also on a bit of a rotten run and manager Roy Hodgson has never beaten Wolves.

Three wins in 13 games is not the best form, but they can be backed at 11/10 to secure maximum points against Wolves.

If they are to win they will also be relying on a former Reading frontman to find the target in Shane Long.

Long is the favourite at 5/1 to be the game’s first goalscorer and this could prove a decent bet as the majority of West Brom’s goals have arrived in the early stages of games this season.

Meanwhile, Wolves have been largely slow starters in their most recent Premier League matches, often finding themselves behind at half time.

Doyle is 8/1 to break the deadlock for Wolves and 5/2 to strike at any time inside the 90 minutes.
