Fulham vs Everton: Saha can prove the difference at former club

Published:

Louis Saha’s scoring record has been relatively good against Fulham since leaving the club and he can come back to haunt them again to hand Everton a much needed victory.

On paper the game is particularly close to call as the pair are locked on the same Premier League points and have both found winning largely difficult.

Therefore, the draw may seem the logical Premier League bet at 9/4.

However, the fact that home wins have been especially prevalent in clashes between the duo in the Premier League may tilt the odds in Fulham’s favour.

It is 11/8 that Fulham take the three points and another thing in their favour is that they are still unbeaten at home this season, while Everton are currently in the midst of a three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Everton have failed to achieve victory in any of their last nine trips to London.

But the fact Fulham would not have had long to recover from a Europa League trip to Poland to play Wisla Krakow will certainly make life easier for Everton.

Everton’s odds are 2/1 to beat Fulham and this may be the best option in the match betting market.

This is particularly the case if Fulham’s Danny Murphy fails to pass a late fitness test on a knee injury, as he is almost certainly their chief creative spark.

The odd goal could settle this game and the onus will be on Saha or Bobby Zamora to score the winner.

Saha has five goals in ten games against his former club and is 6/1 to opening the scoring to hand Everton the advantage.

Fulham rested Zamora for their Europa League escapades in Poland and so he should be well rested. He is 5/1 to break the deadlock.
