Manchester United set for more double trouble with new twins

Published:

Manchester United have done pretty well with brothers recently.

Gary and Phil Neville set the standard and more recently Rafael and Fabio Da Silva have taken up the full-back positions with aplomb.

Now it looks as though Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to keep up the trend and add another set of twins to his squad.

According to TalkSPORT, Brazilians Alex and Anderson Santos are on Ferguson’s radar after signing four-year deals with Dutch club Vitesse earlier this year.

The 19-year-olds are yet to feature in the first-team though and Ferguson is allegedly keeping tabs on them.

Elsewhere, Ian Holloway is considering testing just how much people like Blackpool by snapping up free agent El Hadji Diouf who could be tempted to sign for around £14,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mirror.

He’s not the most popular player but he would certainly do a job at Championship level and could help Blackpool build on their decent start to the season.

The Seasiders can be backed at 12/1 to go straight back up by winning the title.

Finally, the woes continue for David Moyes and Everton who could now be faced with the prospect of selling midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Belgian has just under two years left on his contract and talks over a new one have stalled recently, meaning the Toffees would have to sell the player next summer if they were to get anywhere near his true value.

Everton are currently in at 12/1 to get relegated from the Premier League for the first time.
