Little to choose between City and United after Stoke draw

Published:

Manchester United’s 100 per cent Premier League season was ended by a bullish Stoke side at the Britannia on Saturday.

With Manchester City winning earlier on Saturday against Everton, United are now level on points with Roberto Mancini’s men, although their superior goal difference means they sit above the Citizens in the table.

United are still the 4/5 favourites to win their 20th top-flight title, while City are out at 2/1 to win the league.

Despite their convincing 4-1 win against Swansea, there’s a big gap between the Manchester sides and third favourites Chelsea.

The Blues are out at 9/2 to win the Premier League under Andres Villas-Boas at the first time of asking.

The Swans once again showed plenty of good possession football but were completely outclassed by Chelsea’s expensively assembled squad.

Games away at the likes of Chelsea aren’t where their season will be decided, but the Welsh side are currently favourites for the drop at 4/6.

It looks very much like a three way fight for the title, with Liverpool miles out in the betting at 25/1 to win the league.

The Reds were solid in their 2-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday though, and are looking like an increasingly good bet to finish in the top four.

Finally, Arsenal bagged their second win of the season with a 3-0 win against a forlorn looking Bolton.

Robin van Persie hit a brace for the Gunners and he can be backed at 25/1 to finish as the Premier League’s top scorer.
