The Safety Net: Brilliant Brazilian to stretch unbeaten streak

We’d love to tip up Radek Stepanek at 10/11 to beat Felciano Lopez – a ridiculous price considering Stepanek’s 8-1 head-to-head record and the fact he won in Washington last week – but the Czech picked up an injury in the final and we’re not sure how it’s affected him.
Instead Belluci takes on Kazakhstani Andrey Golubev later this evening and is 4/11 to advance into the second round.
The two have met three times before and while they have all been on clay, Bellucci has emerged victorious in all three encounters.
Golubev’s only hard court tournament since the end of the clay court season was in a Challenger Tour event in his home country where he lost to a guy ranked 210 in the world.
Golubev has suffered a first round defeat in 17 of his 22 tournaments this year and while the hard court isn’t Bellucci’s favoured surface, the world number 36 should have enough to over come the world number 91 today.
To make out £20 target we’re staking £55 on Bellucci beating Golubev today.
