The League Two sides to back in your Saturday accumulator

Published:

The Carling Cup produced plenty of shocks in midweek and two League Two sides took on the giant-killer tag.

Shrewsbury upset Premier League opponents Swansea and Rochdale upset Championship opponents West Ham, but it is Shrewsbury who feature in our best bets for the weekend’s League Two action.

Our three team treble pays just under 10/1 but combine them with the best bets in the Championship and League one to enhance the accumulator odds.

Shrewsbury to beat Swindon @ 11/10

Neither side has made a great start to life in League Two but it’s Shrewsbury who can pile the pressure on Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio with a home victory on Saturday.

Swindon are yet to take a point away from home in their new division and Shrewsbury can make it two wins from three games although punters should expect a low scoring game.

The 4/5 for under 2.5 goals looks a safe bet while the 7/1 for a 1-0 Shrewsbury win also appeals.

Bristol Rovers to beat Hereford

Hereford currently find themselves in the relegation zone in League Two and they look likely to spend most of the season there.

Pre-season title favourites Bristol Rovers offer plenty of value at 8/13 to win at home and having scored nine goals in their last three games with Hereford, can do so in syle.

Matt Harrold is the pick of the players to open the scoring at 9/2.

Gillingham to beat Rotherham @ 11/5

Both sides have made an explosive start to the season and this game could potentially see one of the two go top come Saturday evening.

With home advantage many would think we should be favouring Rotherham but Gillingham did the double over Rotherham last season and can upset the odds on Saturday.

Neither side has been shy in front of goals so expect plenty of goals and over 2.5 goals is 20/21.
