The League One sides to back in your Saturday accumulator

With some of League One’s teams in midweek Carling Cup action, it is difficult to assess their frame of mind when returning to league formalities, but we believe we have found three winners to add to your weekend accumulators.

Read our Championship and League Two previews to discover which other teams are worthy of consideration in order to land a big-money accumulator.

Colchester to beat Oldham @ 10/11

Colchester may have started relatively slowly in League One this season, but there is certainly the argument that their performances should have been rewarded with more points.

What is also worth noting is that they have already played Huddersfield and Charlton, who were among the early pre-season favourites to win League One this season.

Oldham have overcome their poor start with back-to-back league victories, but have lost on their last two visits to Colchester and have failed to score in their last three fixtures against the opposition.

Huddersfield to beat Wycombe @ 8/13

Huddersfield are not only still unbeaten in League One this season, but must be high on confidence, if not a bit disappointed, that they came within two stoppage-time minutes of knocking Cardiff out of the Carling Cup.

In fact, Huddersfield are unbeaten in 29 league games and although this run must come to an end at some point, it is hard to see it being at home against a team that was promoted last season.

Wycombe have also hit a bit of a blip with successive defeats.

Notts County to beat Preston @ 10/3

Notts County’s team looks full of goals and they can spring a small surprise by beating Preston.

Preston have hardly set the world alight at home so far this season, losing to Colchester and then struggling to beat ten-man Exeter.

This treble can be backed at 13/1 in the League One odds.
