The Championship games to put in your Saturday accumulator

Published:

The Championship has provided plenty of upsets so far with Brighton hammering Cardiff 3-1 and big-spending Leicester already losing twice.

However, here are three games we’re convinced will go to plan this Saturday afternoon…

Southampton to beat Millwall @ 4/5

Championship new boys Southampton have got off to a brilliant start in the second-tier, winning their opening three games.

Millwall are also undefeated, beating Nottingham Forest and drawing against Peterborough and Reading.

However, they’ve shipped two goals in each of those games and Southampton, who stuck five past Ipswich Town in their previous game, should take advantage at St Mary’s.

Derby County to beat Doncaster @ 8/11

Derby’s perfect start to the season continued in the week with a hard fought victory at previously undefeated Blackpool.

Things couldn’t be any different for Doncaster who are rooted to the bottom of the league after three defeats and just one goal scored.

It’s hard to see anything other than a win for Derby in this one.

Reading to beat Barnsley @ 8/13

A disappointing 1-0 defeat away to Portsmouth halted Reading’s good start to the season but they should still beat Barnsley who have picked up only one point from their opening three games.

Barnsley also had the third worst away record in the whole of the Championship last term, winning just three times on the road.

Their attempt to improve on that record this term won’t begin at the Madejski Stadium.
