Return of Tevez means Italian rivals will fight for Balotelli

Roberto Mancini is confident Carlos Tevez will remain a Manchester City player this season following his family’s return to Manchester.

The news that Tevez is willing to give Manchester another go is a huge boost to Manchester City’s title hopes and the club are now 3/1 to lift the title.

He may have to earn the respect of the Manchester City fans once again, but there is no doubting the quality that Tevez brings to the side and he is a huge threat to the opposition.

All summer long Tevez has stated his desire to leave Manchester City and get out of Manchester, but with no clubs willing to pay his £50m asking price, Tevez has had to sit it out.

Many believed that Mancini moved for Sergio Aguero to replace Tevez but the signing of Tevez’s Argentina team-mate may well be a masterstroke from Mancini.

There is now a trio of Argentine players at Eastlands and Tevez, Aguero and Pablo Zabaleta are all strong friends in the Manchester City changing room.

Zabaleta was handed the task of making Aguero feel at home and having seen the young Argentine settle in quickly, the two can help Tevez settle in Manchester.

Whilst it’s good news for Manchester City, it looks to be bad news for Mario Balotelli.

Roberto Mancini may be a huge Balotelli fan but the Manchester City manager is going to struggle to accomodate the Italian, especially on the basis of Edin Dzeko’s early season form and we could see Balotelli return to Italy.

AC Milan are very keen on Balotelli but Inter Milan have a buy back option on the player and having lost Samuel Eto’o, Inter need a new striker.

The two Italian clubs have four days to seal a deal with Manchester City and Inter are in the driving seat.
