Pick of the Pundits: Harvard N Yale to emulate class of Frankel

Published:

The pundits looked to have pulled one out of the bag today with Harvard N Yale.

Four of the 50 tipsters in the Racing Post naps competition have napped Jeremy Noseda’s horse today and while the form of three of those tipsters is poor, they can find a winner today.

Garry Owen of the Daily Record is the leader of the Racing Post naps competition and has napped Harvard N Yale today, and considering he is returning £27.68 for a £1 stake this season, he’s well worth listening too.

Newmarket of the Racing Post, Chris McGrath of the Independent and Mercury of the Daily Post are all hoping to following in Owen’s footsteps.

18:35: Newmarket: Harvard N Yale – 8/13

Frankel has become one of the new sensations of horse racing and his career all began in this race exactly 12 months.

Harvard N Yale will be looking to emulate the wonderhorse today and he can school his 13 rivals today – seven of whom are making their debuts.

Johnny Murtagh will take the ride on Jeremy Noseda’s two-year-old, replacing George Baker who rode the horse to a second place finish at Newbury in July, and the Irish jockey is odds-on to steer his mount to success today.

In the last 10 years six favourites have won this race, three of them at odds-on and all of the last four renewals have been won by the favourite.

Since 2002 no horse priced bigger than 3/1 has won this race and considering Mubaraza is the nearest to Harvard N Yale in the betting at 8/1, punters can be confident that the pundits have picked it right today.

Frankel has dominated horse racing since winning this first race this year and Harvard N Yale is certainly one to keep an eye on.
