England 11/10 to wrap series with India up with an innings to spare

So it comes down to the final day of the fourth and final Test between England and India.

It’s been a momentous series for England who have absolutely dominated India from start to finish and Andrew Strauss’ side will be confident that they can wrap up a series whitewash today.

India will resume this morning on 129/3 needing 162 runs to avoid losing by an innings and punters can back England at 11/10 to win this final Test with an innings to spare.

Despite England being 4/9 to win the fourth Test a defeat is not a formality and India, with Sachin Tendulkar at the crease, can still hold out hopes of securing the draw at 7/4.

However considering their top score across the whole series is 300 (their first innings score), India have plenty of work to do between now and 6.30pm if they are to do so.

India need to reach 291 in order to avoid losing by an innings, a total that would be their second highest this series and considering the way the middle order has collapsed throughout the series, the England bowlers will be confident of taking the seven wickets.

The wicket of Tendulkar will be vital to the outcome of this Test match and should the Little Master go early, England can be confident of securing a series whitewash.

Tendulkar, currently on 35, is 5/6 to go on and score more than 68.5 runs and you can guarantee he won’t be going about his business rapidly.

The objective for the Indian batsman will be to bat out the day and while they haven’t looked like doing that at all so far, they will be encouraged by reaching their highest total of the series in the first innings.

India are 5/6 to score less than 308.5 runs in this second innings and that looks the bet of the day considering their recent troubles with the bat.
