The Safety Net – Teo’s Sister to win like her brother

Published:

We are taking a small risk in the safety net bet today as we select a horse that is making her first racecourse appearance to break her maiden tag at Leopardstown.

However, Teo’s Sister should prove to be far better than your average horse, as she is a full sister to one of the superstar horses of 2006 in Teofilo.

Teofilo ended his racing career unbeaten, winning all five of his starts as a two-year-old before being sent to stud, which included a Group One success at the Curragh and in the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

If Teo’s Sister shows an ounce of this ability she should have no problem winning the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden

Connections clearly expect the horse to have a bright future as she has entries into four Group races later in the year, although there is the belief that she will be at her best over a distance greater than today’s 7f.

A host of niggling injuries have meant that Teo’s Sister has had to wait until midway through her three-year-old season to make her debut, but trainer John Oxx feels that she can make up for lost time.

Teo’s Sister is 10/11 in the horse racing odds to win at Leopardstown and to fulfil our criteria of picking a £20 winner each day, we will be staking £22 on her claiming victory.

The safety net bet is currently on a great run of seven successive winners after Maria-Jose Martinez Sanchez beat fellow Spaniard Nuria Llagostera Vives in the second round of the Swedish Open tennis at Bastad yesterday.

Current Status:
Bank: £240.50
Today’s stake: £22
Best case scenario: £260.50
Worst case scenario: £218.50

Last Safety Net bet: Maria-Jose Martinez Sanchez to beat Nuria Llagostera Vives @ 2/9

Wealth warning: although we are confident the safety net bet’s strategy will be profitable over a period of time, the nature of sport means we cannot guarantee you will win every single time.
