The Safety Net – English player to lose at tennis always a good bet

Published:

We return to tennis for the safety net bet today and we are once again being very unpatriotic and picking an English player to lose.

On Friday we were right that Rafael Nadal was a great price at 1/2 to beat Andy Murray in the Wimbledon semi finals and today it is Alex Bogdanovic that we are expecting to see beaten.

Bogdanovic has fought his way through three qualifying rounds to make the first round proper of the Campbells Hall Of Fame Championship in Newport, but faces a tough ask against eighth seed Tobias Kamke.

The Englishman may have a decent record on grass in recent weeks, but virtually all of these matches have been against opposition in a similar position to his in the ATP rankings.

Bogdanovic is ranked at 403 and the fact that Kamke is inside the top 100 shows the gulf between the pair.

However, what is perhaps more notable is that the left-hander has failed to win a single tour match in two years and there is little sign of this ending against the German.

Kamke did make the second round at Wimbledon before losing to Andy Murray and has also beaten some other opponents considered far better players than Bogdanovic in his recent tournaments.

All things considered, 1/2 is a great price in the tennis odds that Kamke beats Bogdanovic and therefore we will be staking £40 on this outcome to fulfil our criteria of picking a £20 winner each day.

A win for Kamke will be our sixth correct prediction in succession and take us on the brink of our highest bank balance since starting the safety net bet.

Current Status:
Bank: £200.50
Today’s stake: £40
Best case scenario: £220.50
Worst case scenario: £160.50

Last Safety Net bet: Starbound winning 15:30 Brighton @ 4/9

Wealth warning: although we are confident the safety net bet’s strategy will be profitable over a period of time, the nature of sport means we cannot guarantee you will win every single time.
