Same Auld story in Scotland?

Celtic are 4/5 favourites with Ladbrokes to win the SPL this season, with Old Firm rivals Rangers narrow second favourites at Evens. With the big two set to dominate again this season, Celtic are 11/1 to complete the Domestic Treble, with Rangers priced at 12/1.

Hearts seem to be the side most likely to run the Old Firm close, and are priced at 6/5 in the ‘without the Old Firm’ market, but the Jambos are a distant 40/1 to win the league.

Bhoys hitman Gary Hooper is 11/4 favourite to finish the season as top goalscorer, closely followed by Gers striker Nikica Jelavic. Anthony Stokes and David Goodwillie are both available at 8/1.

Newly promoted Dunfermline Athletic are 5/2 to finish bottom, although there’s not much to choose between them and St Mirren (3/1), St Johnstone (4/1) and Kilmarnock (9/2). Meanwhile, Colin Calderwood is clear 5/4 favourite in the SPL sack-race.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said, “All signs point to another Old Firm procession, with Celtic narrow favourites, although we have seen some interest in Hearts at 40/1. A domestic treble for either side would really hurt us.”
