Ladbrokes offering top price on McIlroy, Donald and Westwood
Published:British golf stars Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood will ALL be available to back for The Open at TOP price with Ladbrokes.
The firm are guaranteeing the offer from Monday morning in their betting shops, ahead of the Championship which starts on Thursday morning.
Luke Donald has been cut to 12/1 (from 16s) to land his first Major after the world number 1 took the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart.
Rory McIlroy is the 6/1 favourite for Sandwich with Lee Westwood at 10/1 and Donald the third favourite. ALL three players will be available at top price on the High Street from Monday morning.
David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “We’re bracing ourselves for Brit-mania. We won’t be beaten on price on the High Street and we’re sure to have ll three players as blots in our book.
“With the last twelve Majors all having gone to a different player, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that an outsider takes the Claret Jug to make it lucky 13 for the bookies.!
