Rafa red-hot for Villa job
Published:Rafael Benitez is the subject of a mammoth gamble for the Aston Villa job according to Ladbrokes.
His odds of taking over at Villa were slashed from 14/1 to 7/4 after a spate of shop and online bets were struck this afternoon.
Owen Coyle was also backed early with previous favourites Mark Hughes (4/1) and Steve McLaren (7/1) now on the drift.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The word must be doing the rounds. Everyone is clamouring to get on Rafa for Villa and we’ve had no choice but to slash the odds.”
