Labour 1/4 for Inverclyde – Lansley & Clarke cut to leave Cabinet

Published:

Andrew Lansley & Kenneth Clarke have both been cut to leave Cabinet by Ladbrokes.

With the focus appearing to have diverted from Huhne attention once again is drawn to Lansley (7/2 from 4/1 to leave) and Clarke (8/1 from 10/1) in light of amendment to their reforms.

Huhne now drifts to 5/4 having been as short as 1/2 to leave during the latest allegations.

Labour are warm 1/4 favourites to win the Inverclyde by-election from the SNP at 11/4. The Conservatives (100/1) and Liberal Democrats (200/1) are rank outsiders for the seat.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Punters seem to think Huhne may be off the hook. Lansley & Clarke’s reforms are in the spotlight again and it seems one of them may buckle.”

he added: “Labour look in control to retain Inverclyde. The others seem to be running for place money only.”
