Copa America preview – Argentina 10/11 favourites

Argentina are the 10/11 favourites to win the Copa America according to Ladbrokes.

The firm have immediately cut their price in response to an even £20,000 struck this week and they also remain popular with smaller staking punters. Mexico are the best backed outsider at 66/1.

Brazil are the 7/4 second favourites from Uruguay at 10/1.

Messi is the clear 3/1 favourite for the tournament golden boot from teammate Higuain at 9/2.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Argentina are already a big loser thanks to one punter’s opening salvo. We’re hoping for favourable turnover thanks to the presence of the world’s best players despite some uncompetitive group matches.”

he added: “News of Mexico’s team doesn’t appear to have put off those looking to back one at a bigger price.”
