Real Madrid want rid but Kaka rules out move to Premier League
Published:Jose Mourinho is eyeing up a move for wantaway striker Sergio Aguero but has been told by the Real Madrid board that he must lose either Kaka or Karim Benzema reports Spanish paper Marca.
Yesterday we reported that Benzema had told Real Madrid that he wants to stay and that the club were not prepared to sell him which leaves Kaka’s Real Madrid future in a precarious position.
The Brazilian star was in London yesterday on promotional work and told the watching press: “I want to stay in Madrid and play for Real – that’s the truth.”
“I have a contract with them and I don’t want to even think about playing in the Premier League or going back to Brazil or Italy.”
But it seems the Brazilian midfielder who has failed to justify his €65m price tag since moving from AC Milan looks set to be sacrificed as Mourinho targets Aguero in a bid to wrestle the league title away from Barcelona next season.
Kaka flourished under Carlo Ancelotti’s leadership at AC Milan and after his mum confirmed she was house hunting in London, many thought Kaka would be on his way to Chelsea.
Ancelotti’s Chelsea career hangs in the balance following a trophyless season and after Kaka’s comments yesterday, Chelsea seems an unlikely destination for the Brazilian.
Shoul Kaka be forced out of Real Madrid to make way for Aguero then the situation could change but a return to Italy and AC Milan would be the more likely move.
Manchester City failed to entice Kaka in 2009 but may be able to entice the midfielder with the prospect of Champions League football next season.
Theres no doubt a fully fit and in-form Kaka would be a benefit to any side and Manchester City’s 2011/12 Premier League odds of 7/2 would shorten dramatically should they land him.
