Liverpool 8/11 to win major trophy under Dalglish

Kenny Dalglish is 8/11 to win a major trophy at Liverpool after his appointment as manager on a three-year deal.

Liverpool fans will be positive of success in the near future based on the optimism that Dalglish has brought to the club following his temporary appointment in January.

Since being named caretaker boss until the end of the season, Dalglish has averaged over two points a game in the Premier League and has overseen the signings of exciting strikers Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.

Four wins in their last five games has left Liverpool in second spot in the current form standings in the Premier League and in pole position to finish fifth this season, which would secure them Europa League football in the next campaign.

This would perhaps represent their best chance of silverware next season, although they could be a real force in the domestic cup competitions, particularly if they benefit from being drawn at home.

It is 7/2 that Liverpool win the FA Cup under Dalglish in the next three years.

Dalglish is sure to be given a decent budget in the transfer window to improve his squad where he sees fit.

This could make the Premier League a viable possibility for Liverpool, despite the fact they will have to compete with big-spending Manchester City and the strengths of the current squads of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Liverpool’s odds are 5/1 to win the Premier League under Dalglish and there will be hopefulness of a big challenge being laid down next year.

Good support has seen Liverpool cut from 16/1 to 10/1 to win the Premier League next season, but realistically the club’s fans will be pleased to finish in the top four.

Liverpool are 10/11 to finish in the Champions League places, while it is 8/1 they finish second, 9/2 they end next season in third spot and 5/2 that they finish fourth.
