World number one prepares for Porsche Grand Prix challenge
Punters will be hard pressed to find a longer priced winner when they study the Porsche Grand Prix betting today.
With the two market leaders in the Porsche Grand Prix winners betting in action, there are plenty of short favourites around and it’s hard to see either Caroline Wozniacki or Victoria Azarenka being upset.
Wozniacki is the 5/2 favourite to win this week but Azarenka’s strong form – she’s won her last two tournaments including one on clay – makes her the interesting prospect at 4/1 to win the title.
Caroline Wozniacki vs Zuzana Kucova
Kucova snuck into the main draw thanks to the ‘Lucky Loser’ route and the Slovakian finds herself in the second round thanks to Anna Chakvetadze’s retirement in their first round match.
Wozniacki is 1/50 to defeat her opponent who is ranked 132 places below her in the rankings and this should be a routine victory for the Dane.
A 2-0 victory for Wozniacki is 1/10 and the world number one is 1/9 to win the first set and win the match but punters will struggle to find any value backing the Porsche Grand Prix favourite.
Victoria Azarenka vs Julia Goerges
This will be the first time that these two have met but it’s hard to see Goerges defeating an opponent who has dominated her last two tournaments.
Azarenka hasn’t dropped a set in eight matches and she offers the value of today’s play at 4/7 to win 2-0.
The world number five is 1/5 to win the match with Goerges available at 10/3 but punters looking for an upset should ignore this match.
Upsets will be few and far between in today’s Porsche Grand Prix betting and Sam Stosur will justify her 4/11 favouritism to beat Daniele Hantuchova and Na Li will justify her 2/5 favouritism to beat Sabine Lisicki.
A £10 stake on Wozniacki and Azarenka both winning 2-0 would return £17.20. New customers can sign up here to take advantage of a free tennis bet worth up to £30.
