Punters enjoy, Nadal and Federer go head-to-head in Miami tonight

What a tie we have in store tonight when Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer meet in Miami, and with the unbeaten Djokovic 1/10 to beat Mardy Fish in the other semi-final, we’re in for an incredible three remaining games.

Federer may have the upper hand after quarter-final opponent Giles Simon retired last night whereas Nadal was made to battle in his match with Tomas Berdych and the fresher Federer may be the bet.

Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer

This will be the 22nd meeting of the two greats of the tennis games, and while Nadal holds a 14-8 head-to-head advantage, Federer won the last meeting between the two on the hard courts of London while the two share a 3-3 head-to-head on the hard courts.

Nadal is the 4/7 favourite to win but all the value is in backing Federer at 5/4 considering he has had the easier route to the semi-final longer to recover, and the only man he has lost to this year is Novak Djokovic.

Only eight of the 22 matches have ever been won in straight sets and you can guarantee that with these two in top form, the match will go the distance.

Backing both Federer at 10/3 to win 2-1 and Nadal at 3/1 to win 2-1 would return a tidy profit, but considering the winner of the first set in the last 11 matches has gone on to win the match, backing Federer at 7/4 to win the first set and the match looks the best bet.

Novak Djokovic vs Mardy Fish

In all fairness to Fish he’s a top player, but when Djokovic is in this kind of scintillating form, it’s hard to see Nadal and Federer beating him let alone Fish.

Djokovic is 1/10 to win later tonight and holds a 6-0 head-to-head record over Fish, but both of their ATP Tour matches in the US have gone the distance and backing Djokovic to win 2-1 offers plenty of value at 7/2.

A £20 stake on Federer winning the first set and the match would return £55. New customers can sign up here to get £60 in free bets.
