London ready to bask in bank holiday sun
Published:Londoners sohould get ready for a scorcher over the extended Bank Holiday period according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies make the capital just 4/11 to be hotter than Mediterranean party-island Ibiza this bank holiday Friday. It’s also odds-on (5/6) that a week later the capital basks in glorious sunshine for the Royal Wedding and the temperature recorded in Westminster is above 17 degrees.
The British weather remains as unpredictable as ever though and despite positive forecasts it’s only 3/1 London experiences rain on the big day.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “It’s fantastic news for those who are getting ready to enjoy the extended break. We reckon the temperatures will soar in the capital making it one of the hottest places in Europe.”
he added: “Sadly we have to offer odds of rain on the wedding day but it doesn’t look too likely at this stage.”
