Europa League favourites to continue unbeaten run

Published:

With the Portuguese Primera Liga sown up, Porto can concentrate all their efforts on winning a second Europa League/UEFA Cup title.

The 2/1 favourites look the pick of all the teams left in the Europa Legue betting, and their home tie with Spartak Moscow on Thursday will just confirm their status as favourites.

Porto vs Spartak Moscow

Porto are 2/5 to beat Spartak and 1/3 to qualify for the semi-final and considering they are unbeaten against Russian teams in six ties, including two victories over CSKA Moscow in this year’s competition, it’s hard to bet against them.

Spartak will want to keep the game tight to allow them every chance of qualifying when Porto visit Moscow for the second leg, but their best hope seems a draw, priced at 7/2, considering their odds of 7/1 to win.

Spartak boast the third best defence in the competition but in Radamel Falcao, they come up against a striker who has 7 goals in the Europa League and he is 4/1 to get the first goal.

The 1-0 and 2-0 scorelines are both favoured at 5/1 suggesting the Spartak defence can hold firm, and under 2.5 goals at 5/6 looks the pick of the markets.

Dynamo Kiev vs Braga

After seeing off Manchester City so comprehensively, Kiev have been installed as the 4/7 favourites to win this match and considering Braga’s poor away record – they haven’t won away from home in the Europa League this season – it looks a great bet.

Braga are unbeaten in nine and did see of Liverpool in the last round, but Kiev’s attacking ability is so strong that the Braga defence will be unable to hold firm this time and backing a 2-0 Kiev win is available at 8/1.

The Portuguese side would be happy with the draw which is priced at 11/4 but the best bet lies in backing under 2.5 goals at 4/6.

A £20 stake on a Porto and Kiev double would return £44. New customers can sign up here to get £60 in free bets.
