Brighton too big at 11/10 in League One odds to beat Walsall

Although Brighton have already guaranteed their automatic promotion to the Championship this season, no let up should be expected in their remaining games of the campaign.

Brighton will still want to ensure their promotion as champions of League One and may still want to achieve the 100-point milestone, meaning that they require ten points from their last five league games.

The first of these is at Walsall and given the difference between the pair in terms of league position, Brighton look a massive price at 11/10 in the League One odds to secure victory.

However, only goal difference is currently keeping Walsall out of the relegation places and therefore they are in desperate need of points to aid their survival bid.

Walsall have won three of their last four home games and are 9/5 to beat Brighton.

Bristol Rovers and Notts County are other teams in relegation trouble and also face teams towards the top of the standings.

Second-placed Southampton host fourth-bottom Bristol Rovers and are understandably 1/3 to secure maximum points.

Southampton are on a six-game winning run at St Mary’s and have also won their last three meetings with Bristol Rovers.

Bristol Rovers have improved of late with just one defeat in five games and are 4/1 to draw with Southampton, while it is 8/1 that they claim an unlikely victory.

Notts County have a slightly easier task as at least they are at home to Bournemouth.

It is 13/8 that Notts County win Martin Allen’s first home game in charge and they have a strong chance as Bournemouth have gone seven games without a win, which is a run that includes five defeats.

Bournemouth need to find some victories quickly if they are to finish in the League One play-off places and are also 13/8 to land the spoils.

A £30 stake on Brighton beating Walsall 2-1 for the third time in succession would return £210. New customers can sign up here for a free £30 bet.
